It's Here!!

Well, the new to me D7000 arrived on Monday. Snagged it on E-Bay from a person in Vancouver. It's pretty well brand new, in like new condition. Came with a copy of the bill of sale and a blank warranty card. Only 1500 shutter actuations. The seller obviously takes good care of his gear. He has upgraded to full frame gear. What a camera! Good solid feel without being too bulky. I certainly have some practising to do. Also picked up a couple of Nikkor lenses, 18-55 VR and a 55-200 VR, a spare battery and a couple of SanDisk 32 Gb high capacity cards. These should keep me happy for the time being. What a difference from the old Olympus OM2n! Wish me luck, I'm sure there will be questions.

Wow Congrats Earl. I never can find good deals so I gave up trying. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Thanks Mike. I fear there will be a steep learning curve. We have a trip to Newfoundland planned for this summer so I have to get shooting.
