I spent three hours this morning in a photo workshop at the wetlands. We had an hour shooting, about 20 minutes relocating to a classroom and the remainder being critiqued.

The gentleman doing the critics has judged over 300 photography contests.

The following are my results.

Almost

Good composition but has a gazebo in his face

Would have liked to see more of the trees

A little dark, but got points for the fish and body shadow

Wings out of focus - in his 80+ years taking photos, he's never gotten a shot of a Purple Gallinule in flight

As a bird photographer, you already know how hard this area of photography is, so keep at it ! You'll produce something, I have no doubt

Thanks everyone for the likes! It was a fun morning. Glad I was one of the lucky 15 for the time slot I wanted.

Here's another one. What do you see?

I saw a bird, the group saw a bird, but the reviewer couldn't see it.
