New D7100

The new D7100 is announced. CameraLabs have short preview of it. Looks good!

I was looking at that today. For the most part it's a higher megapixel D7000. I do, however wish I had the money to buy one. I told the wife she needed to budget $1600 US for me (gotta have the 18-105 too).

She just laughed.

There are ... oops ... were 18-105's to be had at really nice prices. Grab it at $1200 and worry about the other lenses later. Use whatya got for now.

There wasnt a huge upgrade between the two when i looked at comparisons, am I missing something besides the higher megapixels?

It looks like there are quite a few enhancements...should have waited six months. But I will be passing on upgrading any time soon. Whoever picks one up is sure to love it. Anyone going to be ordering?

DR is where the upgrade is I bet...it is a nice camera...so is the 7000 which has plenty of DR...
