Nikon 5700 overexposed pictures

When I take pictures outside they are all overexposed.The camera is on user set A and in P mode.Any ideas?This just happened last week.Did I change a setting inadvertently or is something not working in the camera.

Screen 2 of your menu at the bottom "Reset All" will restore your camera to factory setting. Also you can adjust exposure from -2ev to +2ev.

Thanks for the reply Bill.I tried both suggestions and the pictures are still overexposed outside but the pictures taken inside are fine.
