Nikon D3100 Grainy Video! Help!

I have a Nikon D3100. Whenever I take a video, everything looks grainy. The only time I don't notice it is in bright sunlight, but even then the quality looks faded almost. It looks fine on the camera screen, but on the computer it looks awful. No matter what iso i use it looks grainy. Even on 100 iso it looks grainy. I don't know what to do. Please Help! Here is a sample vid that I shot in a room that clearly had at least decent lighting. I was using iso 400, 1/30 shutter speed, f/3.5 and manual focus. I am using the kit 18-55mm lens. For room light that looks pretty good

here is what i noticed: it looks good on the camera itself or after I upload it to youtube. it looks really bad an grainy on my mac when i view it on quicktime player or nikon's nx2 program. Anyone know why? btw im using a sandisk class 10 card.

That looks good. Do you remember what mode you shot it in and what settings you used?

Program and let it make all the choices .

Okay i'll try that. Thanks a lot. If anyone knows why the quality is good after uploaded to youtube, but bad beforehand let me know.

You did say you were looking at it on a MAC

Yup, on a mac using quicktime. It's just weird that it looks so grainy on that or nikon's nx2 software and then good on youtube.
