Welcome to the site, I was once in Portugal. I spend a few months in Spain and traveled to Lisbon. Very pretty country.
Nice to see members from other countries. You might want to check out "Blue crane" videos to learn more about your D5000, I am pretty sure they have a video just for the D5000 explaining how to get the best out of it .
