How far were you Sam? What lens were you using? Very intimate capture of the eagle! You got his mood right in there.

Thank you Marcel, He was up about 20 feet in a Ponderosa Pine tree watching the river, I was able to get under and over to the left of him. I used a D800 with Nikon 300mm F4 & 1.4 TC( my favorite combo) I took dozens of photos -too bad the branches were in the way in most of them. We stared at each other until a fish jumped, in a heart beat he was in the water after his lunch.
