Nikkor f/2.8 35-70mm zoom - worth fixing?

I have a f/2.8 35-70mm zoom lens (non D) where the aperture ring has a lot of play in it. It causes the lens to wobble a little bit between the aperture ring and lens mount. I know it is affecting the photos I have taken with this lens. My question is, "Is the lens worth fixing or not?" TIA. This lens was purchased new back in my F4 days.

yeah, that is one of the weak points of the design of the lens, and the wobble can effect the focus of the lens, I had to bring mine into my local repair shop for fix up,, cost me 120 dollars,, of course for those more into fixing things, I bet some just fix their own.

As a part lens your lens would sell for between 100-150 dollars.

Really clean examples cost around 350.

I keep mine fixed because I consider it one of my best zooms. ultra sharp.
