Nikon 55mm f/2.8 and a Ryobi flashlight
All around one of the best value manual primes out there I think.

Ive got the AF 55 f2.8 D micro, it takes nice photos too.

I have to manually focus it on my camera, its a little noisy when turning the focus ring. But still a pleasure to use.

I have used a 55mm f/2.8 AIS Micro Nikkor/PK-13 for over 30 years. It is one of the sharpest primes in that focal length ever made. If you don't need a wider maximum aperture, it is the best "normal" lens IMHO. It is also fantastic reversed or mounted on a bellows.

The 2.8 AIS version of this lens often suffers from sticky aperture blades. If you buy second hand (likely) make sure you check the blades snap shut and open quickly.

I had to have the lens serviced for oil on the blades after about 25 years or so.
