Good day everyone. I'm excited to join this group. I just purchased a D7000 and am anxiously awaiting its arrival! I am moving up from a Canon 450D, although my first two SLR cameras were Nikons -- a N65 35mm film camera, and a Pronea 6i in the old Advantix format (anyone remember those funky catridges?). It feels good to come back to the Nikon family.

I know I have a LOT to learn with the D7000. I look forward to learning from the users here to get the most out of this camera and become a better photographer as well.

ummm...maybe a silly question, but....male or female? I've seen that name on both genders. :)

This is why I ask people to fill out their profile in detail. It really does help us when answering questions. And of course, a self portrait avatar really helps, too. ;)
