My name is Ricardo and Im from California. So i bought my D600 from B&H and received it on 12/31/12. The serial number on my D600 body was 501XXXX with a warrenty card that says USA on it. From what I understand the S/N starting with 5 means the camera is a Canada batch. Will this effect my warranty in anyway?

2 - Japan
3 - USA
4 - Europe (excluding UK)
5 - Canada
6 - Australia / New Zealand(?)/Eastern Europe (?)
7 - Asia (excluding Japan)
8 - UK

How many of you in the USA have a s/n that doesnt start with a 3?

Thanks for the reply's.

I would imagine as long as your receipt says "USA" and not "Imported" (code for grey market) then you should have no issues. Just get it registered and keep the copy of the original receipt.

Usually when you register your product, it will tell you if it thinks it's not a local version.
I bought my D5100 from the states, but registered it in the UK - prompted me to confirm I wanted to add this non-UK body as a UK register entry
