About 12 months ago, I discovered this video by Dustin Farrell.

Since then, I've been developing my timelapse skills, techniques and scouting for good locations around Perth.
Here are my videos (no sound) so far.

I've been wanting to play with this function for a while. I see that in some you're shooting RAW and then converting, and that you state that the D80 you're shooting with is limited to how often you can shoot. Is this because you're finding it necessary to post process? I would think it would be better to shoot JPG with a fixed white balance and just go with it. You'd have more images to use which should yield a smoother video.

Took this last night in Fremantle.

Was really lucky as I didn't know the ship was going to leave. It added a nice event to the footage.
Had enough of testing and now am going to work on a themed production.

Great job with the timelapse.

From the link above I can definitely see why you would want to do something like this. I think they are moving the camera, or zoom a fraction between frames to give the illusion of a continuous panned shot. Very impressive.

Sorry but I don't seem to see the camera moving at all. Things on the water are moving, but the building is not changing dimension and the composition stays the same all the way through.

The landscape video. I was explaining how you do it smoothly like that video and gave an example of a DIY if you don't want to invest in a professional dolly to replicate the shots.
