My dear lady is buying me Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for my birthday. If you could only see how long it took me to get this far in the Nikonites website, you'd realise how much of a beginner I am.
The question is, can anyone vouch for this, and is it any good??

Photoshop Elements is an excellent program and contains some of the more used functions of Photoshop. And the techniques you learn using Elements is transferable to Photoshop if you choose to move to the full program. That said, it does have a bit of a learning curve. Fortunately, there are great sources of free tutoring on the net. Adobe TV is an excellent place to start (see HERE)

Great tool - all the stuff you really NEED from PhotoShop without the stuff that will get a first-timer confused. PE11 saw a big change to the layout of the program, so if you get a book to help you out (and I recommend you do) make sure that it's for that version and not just a generic Elements book.
