Greetings from Northern Nevada

Hello fellow "Nikonites"! I recently received a Nikon D3100 as a gift. I am in LOVE! But I am also a little confused. I am excited to be a part of this community, so that I can hopefully gain some knowledge, and on down the road be able to offer advice as well.

Currently I live in Northern Nevada, in Reno. There are so many beautiful places around here to photograph, I am in HEAVEN. From the high desert mountains to the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the high altitude lakes, most notably Lake Tahoe. I cannot wait to use my camera to the best of its abilities.

Hey thanks STMV, I am not from around here, but I am learning to love it out here. I miss the greenness of NC and central VA sometimes, but these desert sunsets make up for it
