This lens is in excellent condition. There are no imperfections, scratches, dings, or anything else to detract from the great condition of this lens. It is commonly known as the "Street Sweeper", affectionately named by the many professional newspaper and magazine photogs that used this lens. The lens is professional grade. It is metal, not plastic. The lens comes with a UV filter; adapter to use 77mm filters instead of 67mm; front and rear caps. Any dust you see in the lens photos is on the exterior of the filter.

The best measure for the lens is its resulting photos. ALL the photos taken in my Delray series (http://nikonites.com/project-365-daily-photos/9985-tedgs-2013-daily-photos-365-a-5.html) were taken with this lens. The price is $150 plus $10 shipping to the lower 48. Paypal can be accepted with an additional 3%. If you want an excellent FX quality lens at a bargain price, this is it.

It's still available. It's a very good lens. But it is for an in-camera motor, whereas the D3100 requires a motorized lens. With this lens, you would have to manually focus.
