Hello from Yorkshire.

My name is Kev and I havejust bought my first DSLR a Nikon 5100, I've had a couple of cameras in the past both film and that was a few years ago, now that I'm retired I have a lot more free time so I thought I'd better get myself a hobby.

Being brand new to this I'm hoping that I can get lots of advice on here, looking through this manual it looks like I'm gonna need it.:)

Your manual is your friend!! I have the same camera and am very pleased... hope you enjoy yours as much as I do..

Hey Kev welcome to the site, there are some very knowledgable people here that are willing to pass that knowledge on. I am still learning everyday and wish I had more time to get out and photograph things, but my retirement is not for another 20 odd years ;)
