What's your actuation count?

I just figured mine out and it's at 15,823.

I purchased my camera 3 years ago now. Definitely not as high as some of you, but high for me :)

To get the number, look at the exif data of your last image. It'll be under something like "image number". If you can't see this try an online tool like this:

Hey its my first one, Im excited about it :p

PLUS... I "accidentally" set my timer to shoot off 9 times in a row with out stopping, I thought that it meant it would keep the timer on 9 times, without having to re-enable it. And them I proceeded to "accidentally" do that more than once, haha, im sure that didnt help.

EDIT:

Well, I just went to http://shuttercounter.com/, and checked my last un-edited .nef file, which was DSC_7895, and shutter count was reported at 8377. (Did not re-check gray matter.)

So what is the surefire way to determine the count?

32985 Shutter Count

That would include:

Two 365 projects
Four Zoo Trips
Three Air shows
Four World War II Reenactments (at a railway museum)
Four Power Boat / Speed boat races
One Fireworks show
Three Parades
Four Car shows
Two "Seasons of Lightning Photography"
Five Photo's with Santa events
One Photo's with Easter Bunny event

Those are some of the bigger files that I have at a glance on my back up drive.
