Macro question

What macro lens would you use to focus from a subject at about 6 inches, or even closer, and fill your visor?
And still be in focus, or have a depth of field?

I just purchased a Nikkor 35-135 from the 80's on Ebay but did not understand what I was getting, and it seems that this particular lens has only one macro setting, I have no idea at what millimeter.
It is a good lens, but I want to be able to focus even closer than what it offers.

Thoughts?

55 mm macro with extension tubes,, cheapest option, and really nice quality, if you want autofocus, then 60mm ED macro,,

I would get any macro lens above 90mm and make sure that they go 1:1 ratio.
