Hi Hi Hi, Wide angle for distortion

Hi everyone, Happy New Year!

I"m in the market for a wide angle lens for my D90. I want to start getting into landscape(i'm a hobbyist) but I also do a lot of photography for rescues, animal rescues. I love the cute distorted dog faces and such. Any suggestions as to a good lens? My budget is right about 6-700 for a lens. TY . Also, is the prime better then the zoom for such things?

Look at the Sigma 10-20mm It's a great lens within your budget.

I agree with Sam, sigma 10-20 or tokina 11-16, both are the best in that price range.
