Hey everyone, long time no see. Decided it was time to pick the camera back up again. I bought myself a D750 and a 24-120mm lens for Christmas and decided to give the old photo a day for a year challenge a go again. Can't believe it was 2014 when I did the first one.

Anyway... picked up the camera to head up to the boat for New Year and thinking I had the 24-120mm lens discovered I had picked up my 105 macro... oh well. You get that :)

so 1st Jan

I'm new here and don't know you yet, but...welcome back! Your pictures are gorgeous. (And that 105 micro is one I've been coveting for a while now!) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff :)

Good stuff Vixen, looking forward to seeing more of your stuff . I have also started a 2020 thread, hopefully I can keep it interesting. Congrats on the D750, I am also due for an upgrade, maybe later this year.
How is that Tamron 150-600 going, mine is giving me lots of grief with the AF.

Welcome back, Vixen. I was looking through some older threads and saw some of your posts. I was wondering if you were still around.

Brad, I got what I thought was a good deal thru Teds Cameras, trading in my old gear & them price matching another company.
My Tamron is going good. I did have to send it back under warranty when I first got it, as it was making noises on focusing. So long ago now I can't recall what the problem was but they had to replace something inside.

I come and lurk occasionally. The last 2 years I've been away from home for about 9 months, so been busyish :D but yes, still around, still taking photos, just not on a regular basis

12/366... overcast and showery. Not a lot of scope in my VERY DEAD garden, but my Gymea Lily has put up this flower spike. It should flower somewhere around August. The spike is about 2.5-3in diameter and will end up about 5ft tall

21/366... a Yellow Faced Honeyeater. First time seeing one in my garden this week. It was 38degC and 80% humid today so not very nice for people or birds. All the birds were panting as they came to my birdbaths today

32/366... end of the day view from my front garden. It was a funny day... I saw no birds or insects. It was hot and quiet

35/366... it was 40degC yesterday and a change came thru late afternoon with a big storm and 45ml rain. Today is cool, grey, overcast and showery, and I can hear every living creature sighing with relief. Including this cicada
