    I tend to use a single point metering because that gives me the best exposure around the bird, but now that I have cleared out so much of the brush around the perimeter I think I will have to experiment with a matrix metering.

    I also use this approach at the church where there is a lot of lighting variation the single point works most for me because I do not want to lose the person under the bright light.
