    Re: Marcel's 2016 occasional photos

For those of you who are too young to have known and lived in a darkroom, I took these pictures in a hunting lodge that has been transformed into a museum. The owner was, I guess what we'd call today, from the upper class and had his darkroom. Nicely done and it brought back many memories.

I'm still post processing my last weekend's images and found a gem. I'll post the before and after in the post processing section.

I don't tend to use the oil paint filter myself because a little goes a long way with me, but these are fantastic!

A friend of mine was having an exhibit opening yesterday. He lived a few years in Senegal and captured quite astonishing images with his D800. Here are a few of my pics of the exhibit launch with my Df and old 35mm f2 Ais.

Very nice, Marcel. You had me fooled...without looking at the EXIF, I thought for sure the first two images were taken with your 150mm because of the bokeh.

Garage door visitor this morning just as I was leaving for Costco. I thought it was worth it to go back in the house to grab the Df and Sigma 105.

It depends, sometimes before and sometimes after. I'm not even sure I could reproduce my results if I had to. For the roses, I probably resized after the filter. The two others I resized first and then applied the filter. The results are different depending.
