My Road Trip To Coober Pedy

Well I have gone on a road trip to Coober Pedy in South Australia the Opal Capital of the World ! so thought I would take a few photos of my trip ! This is the southern Flinders Ranges

I forgot to say that I scored a D800 for the trip

This tree stood out from the plains ! this place is arid !!

I think this was part of someone's exhaust pipe once !

I will show some shots on the inside of the dugouts soon !

and this is the front of the "dugout" (an underground home) that people dig into the hills to stay out of the heat, it gets into the high 40's centigrade!
View attachment 80263the "tree" behind the water tank is a Fig tree that I carried on the back of a motorbike in 1993 and it only had two leaves on it when i arrived ! Mum has made a lot of fig and almond brandy jam over the years !

The hill in the middle was part of a bush track I used to drive an old buggy and do jumps over!
now its part of a gulf course !

some fried egg flowers! there is a spider on one and a fly on the other!

Nice shots. Great takes on the tree, would like to see a B&W version, I think that would work.
