    Thanks for the comments guys! I left Coober Pedy at 5:45am yesterday morning and got some more nice shots but I won't be able to put them up till tomorrow ! I will try and put some others up from Saturday !

    The last few photos were while I went for a walk in the hills around the dugout ! and the sun went down , but it was a no show of a sunset but lights of town looked ok !

    so after the sun went down I wanted to take a photo of star trails ! well having never used the Fantastic D800 !! I tried to work it out but I could not! so good 'ol @scottmurray let me know that without a thingy to remotely keep the shutter open in bulb mode all I could do was stacking a lot of shots and as it was getting late and I needed to be up at 5:00am to start my trip back to Adelaide I just had a little play! This is the Southern Cross, on the left at the lower left are two brighter stars one higher than the other, and the Cross is a little higher, the Southern Cross is on the Australian flag!
