I figured I would start my water drop thread. But, I plan to improve on my set up as I go. As many as I am going to do I will do 2 a day till I run out

I was going to do this eventually. But, with Lawrence asking and showing his work he kind of jump started me. Besides the insects in the warm weather, this is my winter thing.

Well if I loaded all of the drops I do in a shooting, I would probably get yelled at! 2 a day will be good.

Great shots, I am wondering what it would look like if the horizon was dead flat and all you can see is the water drop. I may give this a try next week when I am at home especially if its still bucketing down as we have plenty of water.

The ones I have shown so far are almost level with the bowl. Once I get things set up I will get it almost flat. These were also hand held. So, hard to stay still and be level.

Haha yes thats very true, I think they are great. And it gives me ideas of shots I can do on dull days. An idea I have is dropping food into a clear water bowl of some kind and seeing the effect.

One of the set ups I want to try is using a laser pointer under a clear dish. So, the light shines up through the drop.

As you can see! I have a lot of water drops. This is my winter blues project. I just don't get the time to clean them up and show them off.

If I time it right. One shot! I also shoot 3 bursts to see what I get.
So cool! ...so tell me: How many camera clicks do you have to do to get one useable picture?
I haven't attempted this yet, but I'm imagining 25-30 clicks, IF I'm lucky!
