MrF's 2014 Photo Thread

I've been busy with work recently and haven't had a lot of time to spend taking photos, let alone on Nikonites, so this is a slow start for 2014 for me. I finally downloaded Tapatalk so I should be able to stay more involved when I'm on the road. On that note, I've been in Key West for the last week and a half for work and got lucky enough to have an afternoon free yesterday. All I had with me was my phone when I ran across some pelicans and about eight tarpon. This was the best shot of the bunch but unfortunately doesn't show the tarpon very well.

What you didn't try to hand feed the tarpon?

Nice shot

Haha... No. It was kind of neat to stand there and watch fish that are known for putting up an impressive fight just chill out three feet away. Here's a shot that shows the tarpon a little better. I didn't get a good shot of him, but the biggest one was close to six feet long.

Got 4" of snow in Va Beach last week, and then 8" this week. Almost makes me wish I was back in CA. Here are some shots from the first snowfall.

Beach Garden Park is looking a little colder than usual:

I love the reflection in this one, but I'm not happy with the composition. This was towards the end of my walk in 16°F temperatures, and I think I was in too much of a hurry to get home.

One more from the snowfall this week. It took me a minute to realize what was going on with the tracks.
