Nice capture! Love the reflection and the focal points.

Question, though. Was there a candle behind that first central candle? It almost looks like a ghosted flame behind the center flame, and it distracts me a bit. Maybe a little higher angle to bring out the fact there's actually another candle back there, or slightly off center?

It seems like the candles themselves are following the rule of thirds, but it's almost like the flames are the subject, not the candles themselves. Wondering how it would look if the flames were lined up on the rule of thirds instead?

All conjecture, of course, and solely based on my non-professional opinion. I'm going to steal a line from one of our fellow forum members and say I really like the photo, just trying to find something that makes me "love" it.

Hi Pretzel thanks for the comment.
To answer your question, there is no candle behind that centre candle. What you're seeing is the reflection of the flame on the wall behind them.
Regarding lining those flames on the rule of thirds, I tried to get them but couldn't, as the candles were on floor and I couldn't get further low.
May be I could have cropped the image.
