Well after a four month hiatus from my 365 projects (it was a welcome break) it's time to get back into the swing of things again. So I started this thread for a home for my occasional offerings.

Comments and critique always welcome.

Well since you all liked the last one, I guess I'll have to post my favorite one from last night.

Wanted to stay longer but shortly after we got to Aurora it started to rain and we called it a night. Got a couple of shots off but that was it.

Hey Rick when did you get the D7100?

Tuesday 4/2/13. Done a couple of serious shots with it and liking what I'm seeing. If anyone is paying attention. I use "newer" Sigma lens (f2.8) and I'm not having any issues with lens compatibility.

As for buffer issues. I don't "motor drive" However I am using class 10 cards (fast) in case I want to.

Any other issues I have read about pertain to video and I didn't buy it for video and could careless.

I'm not one to write reviews however I will tell you this camera is everything you have heard about.

So I'm driving home from work and spotted this Blue Herron I been chasing. I run in the house and grab my camera and head right back out a couple of blocks from the house. I pull up the where it is. Now I'm not that close so I'm going to have to walk up on it and hope I don't spook it. It's going to be sunset in just a little bit but the sun is still shining on it so my lighting should be fine. So I set all my camera settings in the van and I'm ready to go. I open the door and it takes off, so I give it a little chase walking up on it really slow and it takes off again this time even further out and there is no way I going to get it today. Keep in mind the whole time I been looking to the east chasing it. Now I turn back to the west and check the sun and this is what I saw. I didn't think about how I had the camera set and took a shot. SO that will explain all the weird settings on this shot. <funny story for a sunset shot>

I really do like the way it came out though. The gold tones are great.
