Review of Product: AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
    1. Smile Re: AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II

Photo purists will probably disagree with my choice of this lens, but suffice it to say for over twenty years I would'nt be seen dead with a zoom lens, I would only use 'primes'. With the advent of Photoshop CS5 and the application of DXO correction when needed to counteract the only minor pincushion / barrel distortion inherent in this superzoom design, I no longer have any qualms about using such an 'extended zoom' lens - at f8 and f 11 image quality, colour quality, sharpness and contrast is utterly superb - i love this lens design from Nikon so much I now keep one permanently attached to both D300s and D7000 bodies, using prime lenses on my backup cameras only when needs demand them! The VRII technology also works very very well with this lens.
