      I got one of these 2nd hand when my 18-135 kit was becoming 'iffy'. It is definitely sharper, ignore reviews saying the 18-105/135 are better value. I think the VR is a waste of time on a lens this size and on a D7000, where you have to use a very positive shutter push....but its there for after the pub.

      Sure the range is limited when used to 18-135, but its a natural cross-over point to the 80-400 and I use the 16 end a lot indoors
