How did B&H mess up your order?

I preordered as soon as possible. During the release day, they had "order now" for same day shipping. Late in the day when I didn't receive shipping notice, I started a chat (see below). When there customer service called back to see why I cancelled the order, they suggested that I should have escalated further. I took it as they really didn't want my business.

KW: Yes, which is usually 1 business days in transit
KW: Saturday and Sunday are not business days
Me: So if I had not preordered and just ordered today, I would have had it tomorrow according to the website. I'd like to cancel both orders
KW: Sure, I will cancel both for you.
KW: Is there anything else I can help you with today?

I ordered from them in the past, and will say that their customer service was top notch. But for other reasons, I'm done shopping with them: I'm shopping locally, now. (Well, maybe not locally, but I'm supporting B&M camera retailers, now.)
