What type of photos would I get with a 2X converter on a 50mm1.4G

Anyone ever try this? and would my focal length be 150mm if used on a DX sensor? Also would my max aperture be 2.8?

I really don't think I would ever do that. The 2x would kill the great IQ of the 50mm

Not something I would do either, but you need to make sure it's compatible first or you could damage the glass on both.

For the price of a quality Nikon 2x TC ($500), you will have already paid for the better part of a prime lens such as the 105 Micro($900).

ETA: A 2x TC will make a 50mm 100mm, not 150mm. Shooting a lens on a DX body or in DX mode does not change the focal length.

That lens is not compatible with a Nikon TC of any magnification.
