Any thoughts on the Tamron 60mm 2.0 for my D5200?

It's about the right focal length for head and shoulder portraits on a DX body but the lens itself, generally speaking does not really impress. IMO, there are far better options... The Nikon 85mm f/1.8G for instance if you're looking for a portrait lens.

If you want a good macro lens, there are also better options.

After a lot of research and reading your opinions.....i found the Tamron 60mm 2.0 $200 cheaper than my local photo shop so I decided to take the plunge. Just arrived today so I have a lot of learning to do since this is my first Macro/Prime lens. I will be bugging you all with opinions on pics whenever I take them. I'm SO EXCITED!!!!
