After reading many pages and reviews, I pulled the trigger on a refurb 35mm 1.8 lens from the Nikon usa site. Should be here in a few days. It will used on my d3300 which I picked up last week. Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

I bought the AF-D version an I love it, and the G version is suppose to be even sharper! So you should be loving yours when you get it! :)

Nice shootin SK. The low light pics look really good!

Werent that great w/ 5100 and flash even, so as good as 1.8 is, it won't save from a bad low-light sensor. I know belief is glass > body, but a solid body as a baseline helps miles above and beyond proper glass to go with it from my exp, and you just saw that I do push my gear to its limits on average.

I have one mounted semi-permanently on my D5100. Here's one of my favorites, using an SB-24 bounced off the ceiling. It's a remarkable lens; nobody else offers this much quality for so little.
