24mm lenses for nikon?

Am I right in saying there is only one 24mm prime lens for nikons with af motor?
The 35mm 1.8g is nice and inexpensive but I was looking for something a tad wider for my DX and was thinking 24mm would give the equivalent of 36mm, but the only one I can find is the very expensive 24mm f1.4G ed.
Is there another lens, by another brand perhaps?

Just a question for clarification...you are looking for primes that have motors, yes? Not all of the ones listed so far have motors.

I'm not aware of any that meet all of your criteria (e.g. AF Motor, 24mm exactly) but that's just me.

I'd suggest you slap something like a Tokina 16-28mm f/4 ATX on that bad boy and call it good.
...

I take it you meant Tokina 16-28mm f2.8? Out of my price range sadly
Based on your suggestion I have ordered a Tokina 12-28 f4 DX lens and am selling my sigma 10-20mm on ebay instead. Ill get some pics up once the lens has arrived

I had a 24/2.8d and sold it to get the 20/2.8d. I am much more pleased with the 20 for FX.

For DX, the Tokina 12-24/f4 has been great and I believe you'll really like the 12-28mm. Good luck.

I don't know how helpful I will be but I was in the same position as you needing something wider than the 35mm. I picked up a Nikon 24mm 2.8D Its a nice solid little lens but I really don't use it much because almost at the same time I picked a 12-24mm F4 and LOVE it. I picked up the Nikon 12-24 F4 used but still had to save a little to get it. For Dx its great and I find the ability to go wider much more fun and useful even though its not a prime :)

Well if it's to be used on a dx camera there's no point buying a full frame 24mm lens as it will be almost the same as a 35mm dx lens anyway. What about the newer dx 18-55, if you're not already using one?
