I saw the price and decided that it is a steal. At around US$130/, considering that the list price is over $260 here.

Here is the lense

My test subject for focus and bokeh. I think the lense is front focus by 2mm

It's a fantastic lens. The cheapest lens I have in the bag and one of my favourites. Possibly the best bang for buck lens out there for DX?

Great price for a really good lens. I love my 35 1.8. It's a fantastic piece of glass. It's my go-to lens for street photography. The bokeh could be better but it's still fairly nice, the low light abilities are great, and it's super sharp.

I have been shooting in RAW format till now. Today I shot a few in jpeg format just to see how good the in camera conversion is. From what I could judge, the in camera processing is excellent, provided the exposure is bang on and the scene DR is within the jpeg range.

All the images are as-is and no post processing done.

Full frame.

On the whole, shooting jpeg requires more discipline as far as exposure is concerned. I have been spoilt by the D3300's wide DR, as there is a 1EV highlight protection and at least 3EV shadow recovery possible.

Can those be shipped to the US??? For $130 I would jump on that.

I do not think it is worth while.
1. You will not get a US warranty.
2. The shipping to US from India could be upwards of $20.

That rate was for that day only. Here is the current price
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm F/1.8G Lens - Buy Online @ Rs.8097/- | Snapdeal
around $135/

I checked a few sites and none of them ship abroad. DHL rates are between $50 and $90. So unless some one has come on a Holiday from US, the shipping would negate the cost advantage.

Wow that's unfortunate because even today's price is better than any price I've seen for this lens used.
