Lightroom CC V11

Anyone get the new version?? Mine upgraded 2 nights ago... the masking seems pretty cool, but 2 clicks now for gradient tool compared to 1... not that big a deal I guess... except when I edit around 1000 frames per wedding and use the gradient tool on a large portion of that.

I do like the select subject, but it is a little slow....

Anyone else have any thoughts on the new LR 11?

I agree with you on all points. The subject/sky features so far works pretty well for me, but it does take a rather unseemly amount of time to load. I don't process nearly as many photos at once as you do, but I can certainly see how an extra click can be an annoyance factor if you're trying to get a large amount done on time.

Personally, I don't like when programs streamline things seemingly for the the sake of making things look visually neater. I rather prefer the previous layout, where all the adjustment options were laid out at the top of the bar. I use the adjustment brush a lot, and like you with the gradient tool, I find it rather irksome to pull up now (often forgetting that I can just use the keystroke "k", lol).

I like the new selections tools and the layers approach. I admit that it's taking me a little while to get used to it, but it sure saves time when compared to having to go to Photoshop for things like select subject and select sky.
