Photoshop Sneak Peek: Sky Replacement

This looks like it might be even better than Topaz Mask AI. I am not a sky replacement kind of guy, but I would like the ability to save a blown out sky without taking ridiculous amounts of time. Maybe this tool will be the key.

I noticed that the examples didn't offer very complex situations for masking. I wonder how it will work for things like trees with lots of sky showing through.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how well it does on more complex skylines. I thought it was kinda nifty how it adjusts the white balance in the foreground to match the sky chosen.

Yeah, that's a cool feature. Adobe seems to realize that they need to keep up with the competition these days.

It definitely looks interesting but I noticed something that would require more work. Towards the end of the video, one of the examples had water in the foreground. Usually a colorful sky will be somewhat reflected in water - obviously it would need to be done separately. But overall it looks promising. :) Thanks for sharing the info, Andy.

Sky replacement is a quandary for me: I've been tempted, at times, to replace the sky in one of my photos, but it feels so much like compositing I can't bring myself to do it.
