Guys, I am using Lightroom Classic CC 8.2.1 version. I want to import Nikon DCP profiles (which are in .DCP format) for some of my presets. I tried copying them in many different locations but still the DCP profiles are not showing up in the profiles section. Please guide me through this process.

According to Adobe profiles need to copied here:

  • Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles
    .
  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles

Then you'll need to restart Lightroom.

Bro, I tried this location, still it does not work. I understand recently Adobe has changed the locations, so that profiles both work in Camera Raw and Lightroom and accepting XMP format. DCP profiles in Camera Raw works fine for me but in lightroom, the profiles does not show up..

Yeah, I've had the exact same problem in the past. I have several profiles I use and they're all installed in probably five different folders on my system because I kept installing them in different locations until they finally starting showing up in my applications as they're supposed to. It was really frustrating.

I'll investigate this some more and see if I can't come up with a more definitive solution.

One other thing... Make sure you're opening a raw file that was taken with a camera that matches one of the profiles you're installing. Profiles only show up in LR that are applicable to the camera that created that particular raw. So for instance if you've installed .DCP's applicable to the D500, those profiles won't show up in Lightroom if you open a raw file that was shot with any other camera. They'll only appear when you've opened a raw file taken by a D500.

I've had the same issues as Paul outlined... Adobe does something every once in a while when they do an update, and mine go missing, and I never conclusively determine what fixes them... and they suddenly start working as suddenly as they stop...

Thanks a ton boss
Since I don't use Lightroom all that much (I tend to hang out in Photoshop) it took me a while but I think I found your solution. There's an "Import Profiles" button in the Profile Browser of Lightroom. Clicking on Import Profile icon, as you might expect, opens the import profile dialog box. The Import Profiles icon is the "+" mark in a circle with the drop-down triangle as shown in the screenshot below.

Hopefully this solves your issue!
