"Clean-up in aisle 3"

I'm finishing up my car show photos and only have the Corvette's images to edit. I shoot RAW+jpeg fine. These are just the jpeg's resized for the forum. Any editing I do will be on the NEF's. There are 2 different images below that will require Photoshop love. The owner very humbly asked me to make his car look good.

The blemishes and scratches on this first image won't be an issue, and neither will cleaning around the word Corvette. But here's the problem...I'd like to clean up the words STING RAY a little and either remove or hide some of the wax. But there isn't a large enough area to clone from.

The only thing I can think of is to create a new layer filled with a black matte color then use a layer mask to paint over the letters. Any other ideas on how I can clean up those words a little without it taking forever?

And then there's all the wax in the wheels in this second image. I'm stumped on how to clean up those spots without it being so tedious. Any ideas?

Oh my gosh. That made me laugh! Hmm...I just might give it a try. Using the layer mask is taking FOREVER!

I found the badge on Google images and did a select on the background which was red and deleted the background color. On your photo I used the cloning tool to remove the badge on the car. Then I moved the replacement badge onto the original photo. Then it was just a matter of cleanup.

This afternoon I went to a park simply to take some pics and relax. What I didn't know was they were hosting a Car Show. And guess who was there! :beguiled: The Red Corvette family! ;) They were so nice and quite willing to allow me to get this lens ball image. I could see some of the imperfections within the ball depending on its direction to the sun. That's something everyone should watch for who uses one of these. I wound up switching sides to shoot from to make the imperfections less obvious.

Can you use this Cindy? I shot it on Saturday.

Thanks, Marilynne! I haven't had time to do anything with the few remaining photos of the Corvette but will keep this and Don's suggestion in mind. I appreciate the offer!

After giving both Don's suggestion of using an online logo and Marilynne's offer to use her logo a try, I have decided not to pursue it. Pulling an image from the internet is so small. The logo portion is around 12" wide. Any upsizing results in pixelation. And Marilynne's has a blue color cast that I can't seem to change well enough so I will just give them 2 images of this car.

I wound up with around 130 edited NEF's that I am not being paid for (it's for my church) so it is what it is. In most of the images, I tried to remove cracks in the asphalt, white parking lines, leaves, and performed general editing that I normally do for NEF's.
Don Kuykendall and @Marilynne - thank you for your help! I appreciate you both took your time to offer suggestions. :encouragement:
