While watching a Phlearn tutorial just now, he is using a brush that displays the inner circle. I know how to set/adjust this in ACR but am not able to find how to set it in PCC. How would I go about changing the display of my brush to include that inside circle? Looking for info online, comments seem to indicate it isn't possible. But look. There it is. ;)

The inside circle shows the amount of hardness. Rgcht clicking should open the brush dialog box where you will be able to adjust the hardness. 100% harness won't show any inner circle. In that same dialog box you can also modify the size of the brush. But for the size, I prefer to use the Control+Alt+click & drag (Win) because I actually see the size change happening while I drag. In the dialog box you have to move the slider to a different size, then accept and close the dialog box BEFORE you see the actual size.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Marcel, I lowered my hardness to 54% but the brush still only displays the outside circle. And I made my brush large enough that it should have shown up. I even went into Preferences and looked at the cursor options, but displaying the inside circle isn't one of those options. There is an option to show a cross hair inside the circle, but that isn't it either. That cross hair doesn't change size even when the brush is made larger or smaller.

I'm open to any additional suggestions! Lol.

Go and check what king of brush you are using. In the upper right corner you should see brush style box with an arrow. Maybe your brush is hard already??? Try opening the brush dialog and select a different brush to see if that could be the problem.

With me when odd things happen its because i have caps lock on:D i still never think of it straight away.

Thanks, but that isn't a factor here. I contacted Phlearn and received this reply:

Hi Cindy,

Thanks for supporting PHLEARN!

I am almost certain that this is a feature in the screen recording software to make the brush more visible. I do not believe this a feature in Photoshop.

How would you rate my reply?
Great Okay Not Good

Keep Phlearning!
