"Tired Eye Syndrome"

Does anyone else have this issue? I will find myself frustrated that my pictures don't look sharp on Lightroom, then I will realize that my eyes are just tired and NOTHING looks sharp when I look around the room. Sometimes the next day I'll look at pictures that I thought were unsharp, and they turn out to be razor sharp. :)

Also, after being out and shooting pictures all day, I sometimes find my right and left eye don't "agree" on focus. I'm sure that's from spending so much time looking through the viewfinder.

Ah, the joys of 60 year-old eyes.

yes, there are not enough carrots out there to help with old age vision. my regular glasses suck for computer work, I use reading glasses which helps till I need to use my regular glasses. I have set diopter adjustment on my camera so I can shoot without glasses. soon I will be shooting just abstract photos. :)

Wait until you get 72 year-old eyes :encouragement: I have "bionic eyes" (cataract surgery on both eyes) and I have to use one strength of reading glasses for the computer, another for my smart phone, and yet a third for regular reading. The only thing that works well is I no longer have to wear glasses for distance seeing.

I use special glasses just for the computer, as well. Still, when my eyes are tired, there's naught to be done. :)

I am 54 and have similar problems. Eye strain, dry eyes, my glasses are good for reading but not the computer, etc, etc.

I have that trouble too. A nap is the best solution. Computer glasses help, but a nap is better. It is funny when I was young I never napped. I could actually go a couple days without sleep. Maybe I am just catching up... :)

I'm 70 and my eyes, in two years, have gone from needing +2.5 to +1.0 now. Diopters.

So I guess eyes can get better...

Be sure to blink frequently, Woody. Blinking moisturizes the eyes. My mom is legally blind and requires drops throughout the day. Since she now has a cornea problem from all the pressure drops, she needs preservative free moisture drops.

And also make sure you don't have any blood sugar issues. That can also cause problems with vision.
