Framing or Mounting A Recent Image

I am looking for some ideas on the best way to present the photo below for an upcoming public exhibit. This is the last image to do and would like to have one done in a nice frame/mat or another format. I normally don't do this only use my images digitally so any suggestions are most welcome. Of course there is not right or wrong way whatever is pleasing to my eye. It may be better to have the owl off centre slightly? Original image is 6000 x 4000 around 3.7mb out of a D7200. The largest size so far is an 8 x 10 image on core foam board and matted so having this one the largest may be the way to go. Thanks again and have a good week.

I would crop it square with the owl just a tad off center (to the left). You can get a bigger size print by gradually upsizing with PS (10% at a time). A 13" x13" print with a mat in a 16x16" frame would certainly make it more appealing to a prospective buyer or for display. If you still have the original NEF file, you might get a better resolution. Do you?

Yes, always keep the original files unedited saved. Here is a different version that may work better. Thanks for your advice and help.

Thats a nice crop and idea.

If you haven't done metal, it makes colors pop. The white of the feathers and the eyes will show really well against the muted background. Do a test print on metallic paper first to get an approximation of the final look before the cost of doing the actual metal print.

I liked the vertical crop because of the upward lines of the post into the bird. I also liked it being closer because of the intimacy of looking into those big colorful eyes.

I like a closer crop as well. I think square or portrait is a personal preference. I kind of like square crops in general, though.

I like what Moab Man did. If it were me, I would lower the owl a bit more. It feels like there is an equal amount of fence post. I think the birds eyes right on the upper third line would look a little better to me.

I am unable to view it either, strange one. Will post a 2nd thread, when I try to access it I get this message:
