Hi guys , thinking of getting Dxo there's 25% off until the 25th I assume nik tools are included as the ad says , but they also say upgraded Nik tools will arrive in 2018 , do you guys think there will be a premium to pay to keep Nik tools and these upgrades , Cheers for your comments and a Merry Christmas to all

Unless something has changed very recently DxO Photolab only implements U-Point Technology (which is the fancy way of saying Control Points) from NIK Tools; but Photolab does NOT include NIK Tools itself, not even close. Things like Silver Efex, HDR Efex, Analog Efex etc. are simply NOT a part of Photolab. Not yet anyway.

The full suite of NIK Tools can still be downloaded for free but DxO is requires an email address to which they email a link to the NIK Tools download.

My own personal belief is when, and if, DxO Photolab ever fully incorporates NIK Tools that it will be part of an entirely new version of Photolab that will require you to pay for an upgrade. For anyone wanting to use NIK Tools as a plugin for Photoshop or Lightroom, I would suggest you download it yesterday.
