I have a D600 and shoot RAW. I have a pile of high ISO (4000-6400) images that I shot with the High ISO NR set in-camera to normal. I process in View NX2 which appears to apply the High ISO NR to the file automatically. I really don't like the effect this has on the image. But I can't find a way to turn off the High ISO NR in ViewNX2.
So I was thinking is there a way to strip the high ISO NR setting out of the RAW file? I tried making a jpeg copy of the file with Windows Photo Gallery and that does the trick. But I want the RAW file to work with, naturally.
Any ideas to try? I know I can use other software programs, even Nikon programs, but I don't have any of those and don't need anything more than ViewNX2--unless it's free of course.
Thanks for your help
