Processing Software

I hear great things about Macphun software. It's definitely been an up and coming product. You'll find more support for your current Lightroom/Nik combo online, so unless there's something driving you to make a change, I probably wouldn't do it. If I was just starting out again with only knowledge of 's iPhotos/Photos/Aperture products and needed to learn something new, then Macphun might be something I'd seriously look at.

I have never used Mcphun... I use Adobe CC which includes both Photoshop and Lightroom... I use LR everyday day! I am very pleased with Adobe CC and also use Nik Tools with it.

I am using the MacPhun products extensively, especially TonalityCK.

You shall consider the CK as a complementary to your standard DAM, same as for the NIK collection, but may also use them as standalone.

While my main DAM was (and still is) Aperture I have ventured a bit into LR and PS, but never really liked it.

The CK Pro versions seamlessly integrates in both, Aperture and LR, and the results it produces are well worth the money.

I still use Bridge but now going between PScs5 and Affinity. Iridient RAW will use the dcp.nikon files to get close to the look but you still tweak. Not all the plugins from cs5 will work but I can get Topaz and NIK to work in Affinity. I like keeping the RAW in a folder and the edits in sub folders. It made more sense to me.
