Has anyone else in the UK had an email from Adobe telling them that they are putting through a price increase. I am only on the basic package at £8.47 but they are putting through a 19% price rise to £10.40!!! They are blaming exchange rates etc, but 19%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Inflation in the UK is around 2% max, yet a 19% price hike!!!! What are everyone else's thoughts??

That does suck. Adobe is blaming currency fluctuations/the whole Brexit thing and hiking prices in six countries from what I've read.

Since I work for a college I only pay $20 annually for the entire Adobe Suite of applications. But even with that sweet deal I've been seriously tempted to switch to applications, namely DxO Optics Pro and Phase One's Capture One Pro. If you're looking to bail out of your Adobe CC subscription, I can readily suggest either/both of those applications.

Thank you Adobe. You have further confirmed my decision to stay with CS6 rather then allow you to be my landlord for your rental software.

Microsoft, Tesla, and Apple are raising their prices there for the same reasons... so don't bash Adobe...

Adobe isn't raising their rates in the US

Your initial post found exception with the difference in "inflation"... The exchange rate difference isn't about "inflation"... It's about a devaluation in the pound... that's a political manipulation... Brexit has consequences...

As I am sure Trumps election will have too. I work for an American company in the UK, I understand COGS and this level is outside of that!!

I just got DxO Optics Pro 9 for free thanks to N-Photo magazine. Been looking for an alternative image-editor for a while so I hope this one works well for me.

The free versions of Optics Pro, or at least version 9.x, are worth having for the noise reduction alone. It's some of the best I've used.

Cool. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Maybe I'll go through some old RAW files just for the fun of it.

With sales tax, the plan costs me $10.59 per month in the US; at today's exchange rate rounded about £8.50.

Taking the base cost per month in the US of $9.99 and adding 20% to simulate VAT would make the equivalent fee be around $11.98. Converting to pounds, the rough monthly should be around £9.57.

What is impossible to know is other costs that may be included in how Adobe sets their price. I don't think £10.10 is far from what I would expect.
