My first photo workshop

I finally had an opportunity to shoot. My cousin (Drew Santos - search him on FB or google), a pro glamour photographer, arranged a photo shoot with a whole bunch of models today and I was invited to participate (free of charge of course).

Anyway, I had to take some acetemenophens (motrin 800mg) to fight the pain on my fingers. I think it was worth the effort. More to follow. Feedback are always welcome. Slightly blurry due to my manual focusing is horrible. I'm using a new laptop so I do not know if the colors are off or it could just be my post processing. Thanks for looking.

Be careful with the acetemenophens. That stuff will kill your kidneys. I know from experience.

And great shots. Glad you could get out and shoot.

They could do a lot of harm if you take them without food. They seem to work best for me aside from Lyrica. Thanks for your feedback Don.

I had been on NSAID long term for arthritis and most recently Meloxicam. Long term use is not good. Last week my doc took me off all NSAID because of kidney levels. He increased my methotrexate to see if that would help. Have they planed surgery to fix your hand yet?

I had the Meloxicam before (Mobic) and Gabapentin also for pain. I'll inquire about the NSAID with my primary care provider. Re: Pain management. With VA speed, I was just recently referred to a Navy Hospital to a pain management specialist. It will be next Monday for my initial visit.

I can tell from the EXIF that the last two were from later in the shoot. But I can also tell from the model's expression - she seemed more at ease. Beautifully done and glad for your opportunity. Good luck with the hands.

Thanks Eduard. I got some "other" steamy pictures with more skin showing but I have not edited them yet. I am not sure if they are allowed since you guys are all minors. LOL !

Glenn, what was the lighting setup? You say you were using an SB-900? Did it have a diffuser, or were you bouncing it off the ceiling or wall behind you? It looks like there was probably an ambient light reflector in front of her.

Good job balancing the light. The outside is overexposed, but she looks normal, and the overall effect is very nice.

Just bounce light ITTL and I adjusted the white balance during pp. There were other photographers that may have affected the lighting.

Great shots Glenn.....hope you're hand/fingers get better soon! Guess you're liking San Diego? My brother lives in Lemon Grove.

Thanks Chris. Can't complain about the weather. However, after finding out that San Diego is the 4th most expensive cities in the U.S which are topped by D.C, NY, and San Francisco, I'm not sure that it is worth the price tag.

Yep....I hear ya....you can move to Florida and live cheaper...and they have great weather too! My brother wanted me to move out there two or three times over the years but I couldn't do it after hearning how much he was paying for everything.
