red square focus stay on when shooting

When I take a picture the red center focus box stay on the picture when wanting to print. What have I done this time?

I have a D60

It is showing up when viewing in the software? Is it Nikon Capture? There is an option to turn that off. I think it is the little box in the toolbar that has the brackets [ ].
