Memory card help

i have been using extreme pro 64gig cards in my Nikon D750 for years. I just purchased 2 128gb versions and neither card will download the files to lightroom or photoshop. I tried re formatting them 2 times and neither card will download the files to lightroom or photoshop. It seems almost impossible that I purchased 2 bad cards. The files are viewable in the camera but will not download. I switched back to the 64gb cards no problem. Any suggestions

Several things come to mind. Did you format them in Camera or with the computer. Are you sure the cards are authentic and not knock offs? Are you using the computer port or a card reader. Can you see the images with file explorer or is it just a problem with Adobe.

I format in the camera as I have done for ever. I purchased from bestbuy and assume they were legit. I am using a card reader that works with everything else. Nothing would read the files. I came up with a ridiculous work around to save the shoot. I used the Nikon app and the wifi in the camera to download the files to my phone, but to get hi resolution they had to be done 1 at a time (237 pictures). They were not the raw files but hi resolution jpegs.

I doubt there's anything wrong with the cards if you got them from Best Buy. One idea, some card readers will not handle larger sized memory cards. Have you ever used cards larger than 64 GB?

I had a card reader several years ago that just didn't accept cards larger than 16GB. A trip to Office Depot for a new card reader fixed the problem. This might be the issue.

Don't know what computer you're using but, depending on its age and OS, it also may not be happy with 128GB cards.

Dollars to donuts this is the issue. The reader can probably work with lower capacity SD and SDHC cards, which are formatted in FAT16/32, but not higher capacity SDXC cards, which are formated in exFAT.
